Adam Scott of Australia surged into a six-stroke lead at the Johnnie Walker Classic on Saturday as most of the other players were on their way into completing the third round play. Adam is ranked 10th in the world and was at 19 under par. His third round play tied with the tournament record for the first 36 holes after a 66 in the morning.
He started play on his third round from 15-under 129 which itself is a record equaling performance compared to Ernie Els from his play in 2003. Even his first round performance was a course record when he scored 63 on a bad weather day. Sweden’s Henrik Stenson moved into a tie for second with American Gary Rusnak on 13 under after a flurry of six birdies in 12 holes during his third round.
